2015 saw the release of Aleksandr's second solo album on Naxos. Lovingly researched for over a decade, the album offers new readings of the guitar sonatas of Manuel Ponce. The performances are sure to surprise listeners who know the music, and draw a new group of players and afficionados to these works.
In parallel, another release is set for 2019: a profound re-imagining of how Bach is played on the guitar through new arrangements by Sydney musicologist and guitarist Stephen Snook.
